Off to Hawaii!
This week has been NUTS, so sorry I haven’t written. BUT I have been frantic getting ready for our family vacation to Hawaii! In fact, I even spent my last consultation with Kathy, my Jenny Craig consultant, planning my entire menu for the week. I am actually bringing my Jenny’s Cuisine to eat for breakfast, lunch and snacks (no buffets for Valerie!) and I’ll do ‘Meals on my Own’ for dinner (code for eating out or cooking – if I feel like it). Kathy says I’ve become a master at Meals on My Own. It’s really easy, once you gain the knowledge. And “free foods” like broth-based veggie soups, artichokes and radishes are a godsend.
So the bathing suit thing is actually going to be OK this trip. I don’t expect Sports Illustrated to knock on my hotel door, or anything. But, hey, I’m looking pretty good!
So 28 pounds* so far – yes, I lost another lb. this week! A perfect way to start my holiday.
I’ll try and check in while away. In between keeping track of all the kids, their sunscreen, the golf carts…Hmmm, not sounding like much of a “getaway.” Seriously, this week’s going to be great. I can feel it.
