Week 46 01/24/2008
Rainy Day Strategies
The weather this week has been cold and rainy. “Popcorn” weather, I call it. Or, in the old days, ‘sit inside and do nothing but snack’ weather. This kind of weather is challenging for me. Living in Southern California, I’m lucky to have sunny days most of the time…days where being outside and active is easy, but this week is a struggle. Thankfully I have a treadmill in my family room, as well as free weights, which pretty much means I have no excuse to not exercise. And because my plan is to stick to Jenny’s Cuisine™ almost exclusively until my book tour, my snacking is under control. But I was thinking about all of you who live in cold weather. Being active and controlling the urge to snack can be really challenging! So I did some Jenny research and here’s what I suggest for you:
- Jenny’s Resistance Cord Kit — I love this “gym in a bag.” I used it a lot when I filmed in Toronto last year.
- Jenny’s Calorie and Heart Rate Monitor — This helps maximize your indoor or outdoor workouts by accurately measuring calorie burn and workout intensity.
- Jenny’s “Limited Free” Soups — Delicious rainy day indulgences! Volumize it baby!
Stay warm!
